U Bar U Retreat & Conference Center

The vision for U Bar U has been to create an infrastructure that supports year-round use. It has been a shared effort of committed UU’s from across our district who have honored the goals of fiscal responsibility and stewardship of the earth as guiding principles.

Many hours of volunteer effort and financial contributions have allowed us to begin the transformation of this sacred space into a viable retreat space for UU board retreats, workshops, wildlife management programs, youth camping trips, and much more.

Future development plans call for installing air conditioning, adding a sleeping porch to the main building, completion of one of our straw bale cottages, and the building of a deck around our swimming tank to provide a safe place for cooling off on hot Texas days.
