The season changes this year have been especially delightful. Some of them were evident even before fall came. The rains we received in late summer changed things dramatically. They created little rivers all over U-Bar-U and caused last years grass to droop and fall. Soon new grass grew up to replace the old and it was spectacular. Most of the U-Bar-U landscape is covered with mule grass, and the fields were painted many shades of pinks and reds. Below the swimming tank, the very tall grass that grows there reminded me of an art print of an engraving by Albrecht Drurer called simply Spring Grass. The rabbit tobacco grew back lush and fat.
